Tyler Steele, Vice President of Medical Relations for CeraVe, La Roche-Posay, and Vichy, received the inaugural Women’s Dermatologic Society’s (WDS) Industry Champion Award.
The award recognizes an individual industry partner who has demonstrated outstanding and continued support in meaningful ways to the WDS. It was presented by WDS President (2024-2025) Latanya Benjamin, MD, at the WDS Annual Meeting Luncheon on Sunday, March 9, 2025.
“I am incredibly proud to have had the privilege of launching the new WDS Industry Champion Award during my presidential year, and to honor Tyler Steele as its first recipient,” says Dr. Benjamin, a Dermatologist in Coral Springs, FL, in a news release.
Recognized for Contributions
Mr. Steele was recognized for his contributions to WDS and his strong commitment to the field of dermatology, spanning 15 years in the specialty and 20 years in over-the-counter skincare. “When I reflect on what I cherish most about dermatology, two aspects immediately come to mind: the profound and invaluable connections we forge within this community, and the unique ability we have, as healthcare partners in dermatology, to make rapid, tangible improvements in patients’ lives,” says Mr. Steele. “I’m deeply grateful for the support of L’Oréal Dermatological Beauty, which recognizes the vital importance of partnering with the WDS in our shared mission for healthier skin.”
“The WDS membership selected Tyler for this award because of his long-term support of the WDS and the significant impact he’s made on dermatology,” adds Mona Gohara, MD, WDS President (2022-2023) and a Dermatologist in Danbury, CT. “He has been a true ‘champion’ for our society. Our motto is ‘Success for every woman in dermatology,’ and we are incredibly grateful for Tyler’s support.”
