Now Recruiting: Men Needed for Trial of a Non-hormonal Oral Pill for Pattern Hair Loss

Neil Sadick, MD, FAAD, FAACS, FACP, FACPh, Medical Director of Sadick Dermatology and Clinical Professor of Dermatology at Weill Medical College of Cornell University in New York City, is recruiting men with genetic diffuse pattern hair loss for a new Phase 2/3 clinical trial of Veradermics’ VDPHL01, a non-hormonal pill.

“This is a non-hormonal approach, which is really a major advance. Many of the drugs out there are not well accepted because…they have hormonal or sexual side effects and …patients don’t really stay with the regimens,” Dr. Sadick tells TDD.

To enroll in the clinical trial, men must be between 18 and 65 and experiencing pattern hair loss. Participants must be in good general health; have normal liver and kidney function; be willing to maintain at least ¼-inch length hair during the study with the same hairstyle, hair length, and hair color throughout the study; and maintain consistent use of general hair care products and regimen throughout the study. Trial participants will be compensated for their time and receive the study medication at no cost. Additional information about how to participate is available at www.phlstudy.com.
