New ‘Soft’ Launch from Cetaphil: The Brand Rolls Out Gentle Exfoliating Cleansers and Moisturizers for Sensitive Skin

Cetaphil just dropped its first gentle exfoliation product line for sensitive skin with Gen-Z & Gen Alpha beauty creator Katie Fang as the face of the brand.

The new line came to life at a ‘soft’ media launch at a pop-up exhibit dubbed the ‘Softest Spot in New York City,’ replete with soft-serve ice cream, soft sounds from a DJ, cloud-like pillows, and the softest sweats. Ms. Fang and Katie Beleznay.MD, a dermatologist at Humphrey & Beleznay Cosmetic Dermatology in Vancouver, BC, debunked myths about sensitive skin and exfoliation and introduced the media and beauty influencers to the new products before opening the exhibit to the public.

Cetaphil’s Gentle Exfoliating line includes Salicylic Acid, Mandelic Acid, and Gluconolactone. Salicylic Acid gently sloughs dead skin cells, exfoliates, and helps control excess surface oils, while Mandelic Acid loosens bonds between dead surface layers, and Gluconolactone helps skin retain moisture by preserving the natural barrier.

The four products are hypoallergenic, fragrance-free, paraben-free, and non-comedogenic. They include

“Those with sensitive skin need to be cautious when using exfoliants because they can be too harsh and may damage the skin barrier,” says Dr. Beleznay. “I have been impressed with the new Cetaphil Gentle Exfoliating line because it is formulated with a balance of gentle exfoliating acids and skin-soothing ingredients that work together to deliver the benefits of daily exfoliation with little to no irritation.”

Ms. Fang will serve as the face of this product launch, educating younger generations on the importance of skin health and why skincare backed by science is the most important step in your “Get Ready with Me” routine. The campaign will include TV, digital, and in-store elements.

Cetaphil Gentle Exfoliating Line is available now and starts at $9.99 on Amazon.com and retailers nationwide.
