Neutrogena is launching its Hydro Boost Water Gel Refillable Jar + Refill Pod Starter Kit.
This is the company’s first refillable jar and pod. When the Starter Kit jar runs empty, consumers twist and remove the empty pod and replace with a refill pod, reducing plastic waste by 89% compared to the brand’s refillable jar.
“We recognized an opportunity to advance the skincare experience through packaging innovation that also enables recyclability and reduces plastic waste,” Katrina Bernhardt, Principal Scientist for Neutrogena, tells TDD. “We first launched this refillable package in the Asia-Pacific region and quickly leapt on the opportunity to introduce this recyclable and refillable packaging model to our US consumer.”
