FDA Clears Crown’s New SkinPen Precision Elite

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has cleared Crown Aesthetics SkinPen Precision Elite, an upgraded version of the SkinPen, for microneedling.

The SkinPen Precision Elite is set to launch later this year.

Based on provider feedback, the new Elite offers an upgraded user experience with an easy-to-install RFID cartridge, enhanced patient safety features, active retraction powered by all-new ActiSine technology, lifetime warranty (subject to terms and conditions), and more. The device can improve the appearance of facial acne scars and wrinkles on the neck.

“With the upcoming launch of SkinPen Precision Elite, I commend the brand’s dedication to excellence and to enhancing both the provider experience and patient outcomes,” says Doris Day, MD, a dermatologist in New York City. “Microneedling with SkinPen is a powerful method for leveraging the body’s natural healing processes to boost collagen production and improve the appearance of acne scars and wrinkles.”
