Allergan Aesthetics is continuing its dedication to the LIMITLESS initiative by expanding the content of its Presidential Series through in-depth interviews with Drs. Caroline Glicksman, Immediate Past President of The Aesthetic Foundation (2023-2024), and Melinda (Mindy) Haws, Immediate Past President of The Aesthetic Society (2023-2024).
Both leaders share reflections on their career journeys, the mentors, and support systems that shaped their paths, goals for the aesthetics industry moving forward, and more.
“While we celebrate National Women Physician’s Day in February, at Allergan Aesthetics, we celebrate women surgeons all year long through our commitment to advancing the LIMITLESS initiative and spotlighting the experiences of women leaders in the aesthetics field,” says Carrie Strom, Senior Vice President, AbbVie, and President, Global Allergan Aesthetics, in a news release. “The ongoing initiative was developed with our incredible society partners to inspire women to pursue careers and leadership roles in healthcare, science, and medicine.”
LIMITLESS was founded in 2020 in partnership with the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), The Aesthetic Society, and American Hernia Society to promote and break down barriers for early-career women surgeons to achieve leadership positions through collaboration, education, and mentorship.
LIMITLESS is a platform for storytelling and idea sharing where accomplished women surgeons offer empowering perspectives and encouragement to future women leaders in plastic surgery. The LIMITLESS initiative includes a docuseries on a dedicated YOUTUBE channel, a podcast series and the LIMITLESS Leaders’ Summit that provides in-person networking and collaboration. The platform is championed by ASPS, who manages the ongoing program strategic initiatives.
“Empowering women in aesthetics isn’t just about breaking barriers—it’s about building a future where leadership knows no limits,” says Mark Theis, CEO of The Aesthetic Society. “Through initiatives like LIMITLESS, and alongside valued partners like Allergan Aesthetics and ASPS, we continue to foster a community where mentorship, innovation, and excellence pave the way for the next generation of women surgeons. The collaboration and camaraderie between Drs. Glicksman and Haws during their tenure as Presidents of The Aesthetic Foundation and The Aesthetic Society, respectively, was both inspiring and transformative — demonstrating the power of shared collaboration in advancing women in aesthetics.”
