Cutera Survey: Acne Takes a Dramatic Toll on Self Esteem

Fully 90% of people with acne experience daily insecurities related to their skin, according to new survey of 500 people with acne from Cutera.

The survey results, released in June for Acne Awareness Month, shed light on the emotional and physical aspects of acne in day-to-day life.

It showed that 43% of people with acne worry they will never have clear skin, and 6 in 10 say the struggles in treating acne can be worse than the acne itself.

The survey data also revealed that 81% of people with acne wish they knew more about in-office treatments, with lasers being the No. 1 acne treatment that people are considering. Half of those people surveyed who have heard of Cutera’s AviClear laser are interested in trying it.
