Actress Keke Palmer Is La Roche-Posay’s Mela B3 Serum Advocate

Actress, singer, and television host Keke Palmer is the new face of La Roche-Posay’s new pigment corrector, Mela B3 Serum.

Having dealt with discoloration, Palmer teamed up with La Roche-Posay to shed light on pigmentary disorders and their impact on quality of life.

“For most of my life, I’ve suffered with dark spots due to acne scarring, but I just found out about a product that helps target discoloration,” says Palmer in a news release.

La Roche-Posay’s MelaB3 Serum is powered by Melasyl, L’Oreal’s new multi-patented pigment-correcting ingredient. This serum visibly reduces a range of skin discoloration, including post-acne marks, sunspots, age spots, and even the most persistent dark spots, while respecting the natural tone of all skin types.

Of 23,000 people surveyed, nearly half of those people dealing with pigmentary disorders reported a moderate to extremely large effect on their quality of life, according to a study of conducted by La Roche-Posay.

Among those with pigmentary disorders such as solar lentigo, melasma, or post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation:

  • 22% feel viewed as dirty
  • 21% feel people avoid sitting next to them on public transportation
  • 23% feel treated differently during administrative procedures
  • 21% feel discriminated against at work
