Sun Pharma’s clascoterone cream, 1% (Winlevi) is sponsoring Project Happy Face, a program started in 2006 by Amy Snow, PA-C, Founder of Snow Dermatology in Bend, OR.
Project Happy Face aims to increase access to skin screenings, education, and preventive dermatologic care in rural areas where patients often face long wait times, transportation barriers, or a lack of local providers.
As a result of the sponsorship, Project Happy Face is going on the road.
Near-term plans include taking the mobile unit to more community events as well as to medical conferences, where Snow will showcase the program and motivate other dermatology professionals to get involved.
“With Project Happy Face, I’ve had the opportunity to get to know many young people managing acne and other visible skin conditions, some of whom were seeing a dermatology professional for the first time,” says Snow in a news release. “Our goal is to offer thoughtful, individualized support, helping underserved and underinsured people feel seen, heard, and cared for.”
